Awakening Angels was founded with two primary purposes, one ultimate vision.
Awakening Angels is a non-profit organization supporting scientific research to revolutionize the way we treat patients with developmental difficulties and Down Syndrome. Awakening Angels provides support and funding behind amelioration and development of medications that could normalize the growth, and survival of new brain cells in the hippocampus, improving overall cognitive abilities. Awakening Angels offers hope, that in the near future those with developmental difficulties and Down Syndrome will be able to think and function at a higher level.
Awakening Angels also financially supports Welcome House, specifically The Michael T George Center, to provide residential services to those with developmental disabilities.
Awakening Angels is proudly supported by University Hospitals, Rainbow Babies & Children's Hospital and Case Western Reserve School of Medicine.
